About Us

Get Over Your Exes started the way most honest things do — out of something we went through.

A friend stopped replying. A relationship ended in a way we didn't see coming. Someone we used to talk to every day became someone we don't talk to at all. Different endings, same weight: that specific exhaustion of not being able to stop thinking about someone who isn't there anymore.

At the center of most of it was the same quiet, ugly thought — maybe the best of it already happened. Maybe this is as good as it gets now. We wanted a place that pushed back on that thought without lying to us about how hard the in-between is. So we started building one.

What you'll find here

A collection of small, practical things — not a program, not a course, not a fix.

Why "Exes" — plural

Because it's rarely just one person. Most of us are carrying more than a single ghost — an ex, a friendship that ended wrong, a family member we can't reach, someone we miss for reasons we can't fully explain. "Exes" is the word we use. We mean all of them.

What we actually believe

That a breakup — any kind — is a real loss, and it deserves to be treated like one. And that it's also not the whole story. It's a chapter, not the book. We're not interested in rushing anyone past the hard part, and we're not going to promise you'll feel better by a certain day. But we do think that somewhere in a small ritual, a good book, a song that gets it exactly right, or just five quiet minutes on a page like this one — something shifts. Not all at once. Just enough to remember you're still someone good things can happen to.

We're not therapists, and nothing here replaces real therapeutic support. Think of this as something you can reach for in between — after the drive home from dropping off the last of their stuff, when you need five minutes and a small thing to do with your hands more than a session. Or the Sunday your best friend of ten years still hasn't written back, and you're not sure who else you're allowed to be sad about this with. Or the first night back in an apartment that suddenly has too much space in it.

Come as you are
